Tony Grey AM is a multifaceted individual with a diverse background spanning acting, law, business, and literature. Graduating from the University of Toronto with a BA in Modern History (Hons) and a Juris Doctor, he initially pursued a career as a professional Shakespearian actor before transitioning to the legal field. Practising law with a major Toronto firm, he was later sent to Australia on a legal matter, where he seized the opportunity to establish Pancontinental Mining, a publicly listed diversified mining and energy company.

Throughout his career, Grey has been deeply involved in the arts and cultural institutions, serving as a former director of Opera Australia and the Conservatorium of Music, as well as a former trustee of the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Beyond his contributions to the arts, he has also made significant philanthropic efforts, serving as a past Chairman of the Brain Foundation, a charity dedicated to neurological research.

Grey’s interests expanded further into the realm of literature, where he left a notable mark with his writings. Producing articles for esteemed publications such as the Australian Financial Review Magazine and the Australian, he has also authored several books exploring diverse topics. His literary works include “Jabiluka,” an exploration of international mining ventures inspired by his firsthand experiences, followed by “East Wind” (2008), a cultural odyssey spanning from Greece to the Great Wall of China, and “Seven Gateways” (2013), a profound journey to seven places of spiritual significance.
